The Bridge - Marbella

The Bridge is a rehabilitation centre in Andalusia, Southern Spain. It is a family-run business, founded by Howard and Zalyia Silver and their daughter Ali. As a family with personal experience of addiction and recovery, they have been personally involved in helping individuals and their families for over 30 years.

In 2019, they opened their luxury addiction treatment centre in Marbella to help more people access the services which are essential for successful, long-term recovery from addiction and eating disorders. By combining a wide range of evidence-based treatment options, highly qualified therapists, luxury facilities, and a strong abstinence-focused programme, they help you overcome addiction and build a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life free from drugs, alcohol, gambling, eating disorders, and other destructive behaviours.

In 2024, The Residence was launched to provide effective addiction treatment for the most discerning of clients. The Residence offers 1-2-1 recovery in a spectacular private villa, with privacy, discretion and luxury guaranteed.

The Forward Trust

The Forward Trust is a social justice charity that supports people to recover from addiction or leave behind crime, helping them move on in life with family, friends, jobs, homes, and a sense of belonging.

Established in 1991, they provide services across England and Wales in both prison and community settings, supporting thousands of individuals every year.

Underpinning their work is an evidence-based approach to building human capital and connection to a resilient and positive sense of self, family, peers and other social networks, and community participation - someone to love, somewhere to live and something to do.

Their service models reflect and apply the evidence based on what works in supporting recovery - in particular, the work of Dr David Best ('recovery capital' and 'recovery-orientated systems of care') and Shaad Maruna (identity formation, becoming a 'Desistor' and narrative approaches).

In addition, their in-house Research Team evaluates individual services, interventions and programmes on an ongoing basis, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

6 Addiction

6 Addiction is a UK charity dedicated to bringing sustainable recovery to communities across the UK. By working alongside trusted external organisations, they help deliver life-saving addiction recovery services to individuals and families affected by addiction.

Their mission is simple: to ensure that anyone struggling with addiction has access to support, hope, and a pathway to lasting recovery. Through strong partnerships and community collaboration, they strive to make recovery accessible and sustainable for those who need it most.

Everything we do is made possible through the generosity of donations. As a charity, 6 Addiction relies entirely on the support of individuals, organisations, and communities who share their belief that recovery should be available to everyone.

If you or someone you care about is struggling with any form of addiction, we encourage you to reach out and speak with a member of their team. Help is available, and recovery is possible.

If you would like to support their work and help them continue providing life-saving recovery services, please get in touch to find out how you can make a donation and become part of bringing hope and recovery to communities across the UK.

The Burnt Chef Project

Launched in May 2019 The Burnt Chef Project was setup with the sole intention of eradicating mental health stigma within hospitality

They've been working closely within the hospitality industry for around 9 years and have seen first hand the struggles of mental health issues within the trade with both clients and friends.

Margins are slim and with increased focus on saving money both employers and employees feel the effect of this on their mental health.

Long antisocial hours, tough environmental conditions and pressures to perform are just some of the issues that hospitality professionals are fighting against on a daily basis.

Hospitality staff should be able to discuss the state of their mental health and gain support from their peers and employers. It's important that although mental health can't be seen it is regularly discussed and policies reviewed. This should be the new definition of 'badge of honour'.

Together we can burn away mental health stigma within hospitality once and for all.
